As previously notified through standard communication channels, on 1.11.2026 the legacy GitHub app will be deprecated.

As part of this deprecation, during this maintenance specific functionality of the GitHub app will be turned off and the integration will move to read-only mode.

Customers who did not migrate yet are encouraged to move to the new Ocean based GitHub integration, for guidance check our docs ( https://docs.port.io/context-lake/ingestion/ingest-data-into-port/native-integrations/available-integrations/git/github-ocean/migration/migration-steps/?method=github-app&step=authentication-method&s1=hosted-by-port ) or contact your TSM.

After and During the maintenance, All Github App based installation will have read-only access to the integration (no integration/mapping updates, blocked resyncs, and actions fast-failing with this backend type). On 1.11.2026 live events won't work as well.
